Percy Jackson
Perseus "Percy" Jackson is a fictional character, the title character and narrator of Rick Riordan's[1] Percy Jackson & the Olympians series and a protagonist in the sequel series The Heroes of Olympus, which are part of the Camp Half-Blood chronicles.Percy is the son of Poseidon, called Neptune(Roman Form) in The Heroes of Olympus. He begins in The Lightning Thief as a troubled twelve-year-old boy with dyslexia and ADHD. When his class takes a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of his teachers turns into a Fury and attacks him. His friend Grover (Underwood) then reveals himself to be a satyr and takes Percy to Camp Half-Blood, a place where demigods can train. Percy then learns that he, being a child of Poseidon, is mentioned in the Great Prophecy given by the Oracle. In the remainder of the series, Percy gains the help of his new friend, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood to defeat the forces Kronos and other Titans to save camp, and the world.
In The Heroes of Olympus, Percy begins the series missing, with Annabeth Chase and his other friends searching for him. (Annabeth and Percy are now together.) He returns with amnesia in The Son of Neptune, where he comes across Camp Jupiter, a camp for the children of the Roman gods. Mars tells him to go with other demigods to Alaska and free the god of death, Thanatos. He regains his memory, and re-meets with Annabeth. He meets the 7 of the Great Prophecy, and embarks on a quest to close the Doors of Death and stop Gaea. Unfortunately, Annabeth and Percy fall into Tartarus and head towards the Doors of Death, to close them and to meet with the other 5, Coach Gleeson Hedge, and Nico Di Angelo on the other side.
